Section 4 - Fire and Explosion Hazard Data:

Flash Point: N/A Extinguishing Media: Water, Carbon Dioxide, Dry Chemical, Fog

Special Fire Fighting Procedure: May re-ignite after being extinguished due to stored energy.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards: Hydrogen may build up in confined spaces and can explode if ignited. Provide ventilation and remove ignition sources.

Section 5 - Reactivity Data:

Stability: Materials are stable. Hazardous Polymerization will not occur.
Conditions to Avoid: Avoid shorting. Do Not puncture case. Use only approved charging methods. Solvents may dissolve case.

Section 6 - Health Hazard Data:

Health Hazards (Acute): None in normal use. If case is ruptured, contact with electrolyte may produce skin irritation, burns, or eye damage.
Health Hazards (Chronic): None
Emergency and First Aid Procedures: For eye or skin contact with electrolyte, flush with water immediately. If ingested, drink large quantities of water or milk. Consult physician.

Section 7 - Spill, Leak, and Disposal Procedures:

Spill Response Procedures: Electrolyte is immobilized within cell case. If case is ruptured, avoid contact with electrolyte. Seal in polyethylene bag. Wipe up electrolyte with cloth, neutralize with baking soda or ammonium solution.
Disposal: Dispose with automotive scrap batteries. Do not incinerate.
Dispose in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Respiratory Protection: None
Ventilation: Charge in ventilated area. Follow recommended charging procedures.
Eye Protection: Use safety glasses if case is ruptured and electrolyte leaks.
Protective Clothing: Use gloves if case is ruptured and electrolyte leaks.
