Since the early '90s, Innergy Power has shipped over 3,000,000 batteries to more than 1,000 different customers. Innergy is even better prepared today to meet the large and constantly growing demand for rechargeable batteries that are cost effective, reliable, safe and we’re committed to providing our customers with the electrochemical technology that best meets their needs…be that SLA, NiMH or Li. Innergy Power provides a wide range of power solutions to a growing base of OEM and replacement battery accounts. Some examples of those solutions are outlined below:

What information was "recorded" by your computer storage system during the past hour? Did accounting post receivables? Did sales update the customer database? Did customers order via the web site? If you lost that information, what would it cost to restore it? Would it be possible to restore it? If you are backing up the cache memory relying only on the UPS battery, you may well be putting valuable data at jeopardy.


 

 

Battery Challenge
Significant data loss can be caused by any number of computer failures: failed computer power supply, crashed hard disk, faulty disk controller, introduction of a virus or human error. Without the security of a real-time storage backup system, you not only risk losing your transaction history, but also your ability to continue doing business until the failure is corrected.

Solution
RAID storage systems are designed to meet back-up needs for every data storage application.

A key component of RAID storage systems is the cache memory back-up battery. Prior to data being stored in the array of disks, it is essential that this data be backed up in case of power failure. An Innergy ThinLineTM power solution is ideal for backing up the cache for up to 80 hours. Innergy Power's patented ThinLineTM cells are only 1/3 inches thin so they can be designed to be compatible with the RAID controller board. If the system's UPS power supply fails, then data stored in the cache can possibly be lost if not backed up properly. Today, a growing number of storage manufacturers are designing in cache memory back-up batteries.  Innergy can work with you on either our ThinLineTM solution or we can provide batteries in NiMH or Li chemistries.

Xenonics - "NightHunter"

Battery Challenge
Xenonics, Inc wanted to design the "world's most powerful portable lantern", one with 50% greater operating range than any current technology. They demanded a power solution which would hold its charge for a long period when not in use and then deliver the required voltage and capacity to power a 3 million candle power lantern.

Solution
Innergy Power worked with Xenonics, Inc engineers to develop a 20V, 5.0Ah battery that meets all of their criteria. Innergy's ThinLineTM  batteries have no memory effect so Xenonics customers can use the powerful, "NightHunter" lantern as little or as long as needed and then recharge when convenient. This custom battery from Innergy delivers the power needed to provide a laser sharp visible beam capable of identifying objects over a mile away. This lantern and the Innergy battery have been one of the most popular portable lighting solutions used by our military forces around the world.


 

Solar/Battery Powered eBike Charging Station (Primary Source)

Solar/Battery Powered eBike Charging Station (Primary Source)A leading university wanted to provide their students with a strong incentive to begin using electric bikes (eBikes) on campus and to make a stronger statement in reducing our countries dependence on fossil fuels.  They asked us to provide them with a solar and battery solution that would be simple to deploy, effective in terms of charging eBikes day or night and could be portable.

Solution
Innergy Power combined the best elements of its battery and solar module manufacturing business to produce a portable eBike charging station that can be deployed in 5 minutes and can recharge a fully depleted eBike battery to 100% power in less than 5 hours.


Emergency Preparedness (Primary Source)

TEmergency Preparedness (Primary Source)he Department of Homeland Security asked Innergy to develop an Emergency Preparedness Kit that could be used to power critical communications devices (PCs, cell phones, satellite phones) during a time of emergency when access to grid power was no longer available.

Solution
Innergy Power once again combined the best of its solar and battery expertise to develop a combination framed solar panel, with a long lasting rechargeable battery built inside the frame.  This combination unit proved ideal for charging from the sun (or the wall power or car) and then through a detachable DC plug, allowed users to plug in their portable devices for running and/or recharging.


 

Global (GPS) Mapping (Primary Source)

The National Park Service is undertaking a massive project to re-map our National Parks with GPS precision. Teams of Rangers will walk the Parks with handheld GPS mapping devices. With no access to grid power, they need a dependable, portable power solution to maintain batteries while in the field for weeks at a time

The National Park Service announced they were going to undertake a massive project to re-map our National Parks with GPS precision.  Teams of Park Rangers would walk the Parks with handheld GPS mapping devices.  With no access to grid power, they needed a dependable, portable power solution to maintain batteries while in the field for weeks at a time.

Solution
Innergy Power solved this challenge by providing the National Park Service with our Portable Solar Binders that were used to recharge the spare GPS batteries in the daytime and then each day the teams of Rangers could head out to do their mapping with fresh batteries.  In addition to providing the solar charging solution, Innergy also provided auxiliary 12V batteries that were recharged by the solar panel and used to provide extra power for running and charging PCs, cell phones and even iPods at night.
