Problem

The United Nations was looking for reliable, rugged off-grid lighting for a new prison being constructed in a remote location in Africa. Sustainable, renewable, dependable and low-impact were the critical design features of interest.

Solution

Innergy Power developed a 20W solar module with integrated 12V 8Ah ThinLine™ battery built inside the solar module, providing all-night lighting for the prison, with day-time charging of the battery via the solar module.
